COVID-19 POLICIES
THEIR HEALTH IS
OUR PRIORITY
G2W Academy will continue to follow all CDC guidelines for cleaning and preparing for the academic school year. G2W will be vigilant in following protocols as they are updated/changed.

COVID-19 POLICY

The CDC requires all students (K-8th grade)/staff to wear masks. Students will be responsible for their own masks, and the masks must be appropriate with no offensive language or symbols. (The school will provide extra masks.) Physical Education and lunch will be modified for social distancing, and, therefore, will not require masks.
G2W is requesting that all parents check their child(ren)’s temperature prior to arrival at school. However, we will also have a temperature check point at the front door beginning at 7:00 AM daily. If a student has a temperature over 99, he/she will not be allowed to enter the school building. Once the student is fever free for 24 hours, he/she can return to school.
If during this time, the student exhibits additional COVID-19 symptoms, he/she must provide a negative COVID-19 test result to the office or remain home for 10-14 days.
If a student or anyone in the immediate household tests positive for COVID-19, the school must be notified. Also, according to CDC regulations, the student must stay home for at least 10 days (or later if symptoms persist). Instructional material will be provided by the teachers as necessary.
If a student/staff member tests positive for COVID-19, parents will be notified.
For the safety of all students/staff, parents/visitors will be unable to visit classrooms/lunchroom during the school day until further notice. If it is necessary for you to directly meet with the teacher, please call the school office or email the teacher to set up a meeting.
Water fountains will not be available; therefore, students are allowed to bring individual water bottles to school each day. Water will be provided by the school as well.
In the event that state closes schools to a stay-at-home order, students will transition to remote learning using tools, such as Google Classroom, Zoom, Facebook Classroom, printed packets, etc. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation as we all navigate through this unprecedented academic year.
Other precautions/implementations:

There are additional wall-mounted hand sanitizing stations.
-
Desk and Chairs have been placed for social distancing.

G2W Academy will continue to implement CDC recommendations to prevent infection for scholars and staff, which include:
-
Washing Hands Often: Students and staff will wash hands using soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds frequently throughout the day.
-
We are avoiding close contact. We will implement social distance, which includes being 6ft. Apart.
-
I am avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
-
Staying home when you are sick.
-
Practicing proper cough and sneeze etiquette: Cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue, discard and properly wash and sanitize your hands. If tissue is not available, cough or sneeze into your elbow and immediately wash and sanitize exposed areas.
-
Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces.
-
Teachers and staff will continue to be trained on the enhanced precautions and preventative measures for health and safety.
NOTICE OF RISK:
Please understand the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. The circumstances regarding COVID-19 are changing from day to day, and the CDC guidelines are regularly modified and updated.
G2W Academy cannot guarantee that any child(ren) will not become infected with the Coronavirus. The risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by COVID-19 is a possibility in any crowded area, and more so when preventative measures are not taken. As you voluntarily seek services provided by Girls 2 Women Academy, the school also asks that you assist with teaching social distancing and good hygiene to your children at home, so they practice these same skills while at school.
